Explanation
• On February 1, 2024, the Mayor referred the review of the Community Safety Framework related to juvenile crime to the Housing, Safety and Community Committee. The referral was briefly introduced to the Committee at the February 5, 2024 meeting. The Committee will discuss the scope of the referral, provide feedback on a proposed approach to youth and stakeholder engagement, receive an overview of relevant data and statistics, and receive a presentation on the Mecklenburg County Community Violence Strategic Plan.
