Explanation
§ Rail bucket trucks are essential to maintaining the overhead catenary system for revenue service during preventative maintenance for CATS’ LYNX light rail system.
§ These vehicles will ensure safe, reliable transportation along the rail alignment to address any power-related issues and will transport employees along the alignment during incidents that may have caused traffic congestion.
§ On September 22, 2020, the City issued an Invitation to Bid; three bids were received.
§ Altec Industries Inc. was selected as the lowest responsible, responsive bidder.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)
No goals shall be established on Contracts where: (a) there are no subcontracting opportunities identified for the Contract; or (b) there are no DBEs certified to perform the scopes of work that the City regards as realistic opportunities for subcontracting.
This contract meets the provisions of (a) - No subcontracting opportunities.
