Explanation
§ In 1999, Aviation constructed a rotating beacon tower for airfield operations, which can also accommodate telecommunication antennae systems.
§ On April 13, 2009, City Council approved a five-year contract with T-Mobile South, LLC to lease adjacent land and attach antennas and related equipment as required.
§ On January 27, 2014, City Council approved an extension for an additional five-year term.
§ T-Mobile’s existing lease is currently set to expire on December 31, 2018.
§ This amendment will extend the lease term five years, beginning January 1, 2019.
§ Annual rent is $56,444.52 with three percent annual escalations.
§ The total five-year lease value is $299,671.62.
