Explanation
§ On September 12, 2016, City Council approved a contract for $24,456,007 to Edison Foard Construction Services, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder.
§ During construction of the building to house the baggage transfer operation, American Airlines requested that the building be expanded to include space for their line maintenance programs.
§ The request from American Airlines requires the base building to increase by 5,000 square feet, with interior upfit of 3,500 square feet. The interior upfit includes work spaces, restrooms, a break room, and storage areas.
§ The new total value of the contract is $26,204,082.
§ This activity is occurring on airport property, Council District 3.
