Cooperative Purchasing Exemption

NC S.L. 2001-328, effective January 1, 2002, authorizes competitive group purchasing.

Explanation

§                     The City currently maintains 5,322 lane miles of streets.

§                     Pavement condition surveys are critical to planning and scheduling roadway maintenance and resurfacing. Pavement condition rating information allows for programming of limited resurfacing funds to maximize the City’s overall pavement condition rating.

§                     The rating process includes the collection of roadway asset information and a condition assessment of each City-maintained pavement segment.

§                     Data Transfer Solutions has a contract awarded through Houston-Galveston Area Council Cooperative Purchasing Program which offers competitively obtained contracts to public agencies nationwide for asset data collection services.

§                     This work will be completed during the first quarter of 2019.
