Explanation
§ This project will address approximately 1,300 linear feet of eroding stream along Royston Road between Camp Greene Street and Marlborough Road in Council District 3.
§ This project is the final phase of work and addresses the channel failures downstream of previous work which corrected failing pipe in the roadway.
§ Work will include stream repair and stabilization, plantings, incidental paving, curb, gutter and sidewalk.
§ On December 15, 2017, the City issued an Invitation to Bid; seven (7) bids were received from interested service providers.
§ River Works, Incorporated was selected as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
§ The project is anticipated to be complete by first quarter 2019.
Reject Low-Bid Explanation
Sunrise Repair and Construction, Inc. bid in the amount of $297,711.00 was found to be non-responsive as a result of failing to meet the City’s Charlotte Business INClusion Program established subcontracting goal.
