Explanation
§ The existing roof will be removed and a new roof and insulation will be installed at the Belmont Center, located at 700 Parkwood Avenue.
§ The existing roof was installed in 1993 and has exceeded its life expectancy with recurring water leaks.
§ The new roof, insulation, and windows will be in compliance with current building codes, improve energy efficiency of the facility, and provide better occupant comfort.
§ The new roof will have a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty for water intrusion.
§ On September 26, 2017, the City issued an Invitation to Bid for the Belmont Center Roof Renovation project; five bids were received from interested service providers.
§ Interstate Roofing Company, Inc. was selected as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
§ The project is anticipated to be complete by second quarter 2018.
