Action:
Approve contracts with the following companies for demolition services for an initial term of three years:
* D.H. Griffin Wrecking Company, Inc.,
* Double D Construction Services, Inc.,
* Trifecta Services Company,
* W.C. Black and Sons, Inc., and
B. Authorize the City Manager to renew the contracts for up to two additional one year terms with possible price adjustments and to amend the contracts consistent with the purpose for which the contracts were approved.

Explanation
* Housing and Neighborhood Services' Code Enforcement Division enforces the City's Non-Residential Building Code and the Minimum Housing Code Ordinances, which regulate and provide minimum standards for commercial and residential buildings and ensure the health and safety of the City's neighborhoods and its residents.
* Demolition is required when code violations are not corrected.
* Multiple contracts for demolition services are recommended to ensure adequate and timely demolition resources are available.
* On February 17, 2017, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP); six proposals were received from interested service providers.
* The identified service providers best met the City's needs in terms of qualifications, experience, cost, and responsiveness to RFP requirements.
* Estimated contract expenditures for all contracts are $500,000 annually/$2.5 million in the aggregate over the five-year term.
