Explanation
§ To accommodate future expansion and development at the Airport, Aviation has identified the need to begin preliminary work for constructing a new sanitary sewer system at the Airport.
§ This contract includes surveying, geotechnical and utility coordination, traffic control, and sewer design engineering services.
§ On April 14, 2014, the City issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ); 14 proposals were received from interested service providers.
§ STV Engineers, Inc. best meets the City’s needs on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualification of professional services in response to the RFQ requirements.
§ The project is estimated to be complete by the end of 2018.

The City negotiates subcontracting participation after the proposal selection process (Part C: Section 2.1(h) of the Charlotte Business INClusion Policy).
STV Engineers, Inc. has committed 12.06% ($48,185) of the total contract amount to the following certified firm:
§ Gavel & Dorn Engineering, PLLC (SBE) ($48,185) (geotechnical and construction material testing)
