A. Approve unit price contracts for various Engineering Services with the following firms for five years:

* American Engineering Associates - Southeast, PA
* A. Morton Thomas and Associates Inc.
* ColeJenest and Stone (Bolton & Menk)
* Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp.
* Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc.
* NV5 Engineers and Consultants, Inc.
* Parrish and Partners of North Carolina, PLLC
* STV Incorporated
* The John R McAdams Company Inc.
B. Authorize the City Manager to amend the contracts consistent with the purpose for which the contracts were approved.

Explanation
* The city uses engineering contracts for a variety of services on transportation projects.
* The scopes of work may include but are not limited to feasibility studies, planning, design, and preparation of construction documents for various transportation projects.
* On October 8, 2021, the city issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ); 33 submittals were received. Ten firms were selected for miscellaneous engineering services.
* The firms selected are the best qualified to meet the city's needs based on demonstrated competence and qualification of professional services in response to the RFQ requirements.
* Total annual expenditures are estimated to be $1,440,000.
Charlotte Business INClusion
The city negotiates participation after the firms are selected for this services contract (Part C: Section 2.1(h) of the Charlotte Business INClusion Policy). Each of the firms listed have identified MWSBE firms to participate as project scopes are defined and committed 10.00% of the total contract amount to the following certified firms:
