Explanation
§ In accordance with State Statutes, City Council is required to take four authorizing actions associated with the November 2018 Bond Referendum.
§ The purpose of the presentation is to provide an overview of the actions and the schedule.
Future Action
§ June 11, 2018: Resolution of notice of intent to apply to the Local Government Commission (LGC), authorize Chief Financial Officer to apply to the LGC, and make certain findings of fact.
§ June 25, 2018: Introduce Bond Orders; adopt resolution setting public hearing on the Bond Orders for July 23, 2018.
§ July 23, 2018: Public hearing on the Bond Orders; adoption of Bond Orders; adoption of resolution setting a Special Bond Referendum.
§ Post November 6, 2018 Bond Referendum: Adoption of resolution certifying and declaring results of the Special Bond Referendum.
