Explanation
• At the June 5, 2023 meeting, the Committee received an overview of the draft Anti-Displacement Strategy as part of a two-step process, and was advised that specific programmatic recommendations would be brought forward in August as the second part of the process. The Strategy includes four primary goals to address mitigating displacement in the city: 1. supporting residents, 2. strengthening communities, 3. fostering inclusivity, and 4. empowering businesses (strategies for the fourth goal will be developed through future planning efforts). NEST Commission Co-Chairs will present the NEST Commission’s initial programmatic and funding recommendations supporting goals 1-3 of the Strategy as the second part of the two-part process begun at the June meeting.
• Action: Action if Committee desires.
