Explanation

•                     On August 24, 2023, the Mayor referred the review of the City Code of Ordinances associated with the criminal enforcement of certain city ordinances, as well as assessing other strategies available to serve Charlotte’s unhoused population and address perception of safety and quality of life concerns, to the Housing, Safety and Community Committee. The Committee will receive an update on the September 26, 2023 public listening session, CMPD ordinance enforcement, and potential next steps.
