§ Mecklenburg County’s Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) recognizes community violence as a public health issue and aims to reduce violence in Mecklenburg County by collaborating with partners to increase opportunity, prevent harm, support victims and build heathier, more resilient communities. OVP will share an informational update on the County’s efforts, with an emphasis on areas of City-County alignment and collaboration.
