§ On September 22, 2025, the Mayor asked the Budget, Governance & Intergovernmental Relations Committee to determine any legislative support needed to advance public safety and quality of life for Charlotte.
§ Committee recommendations associated with this policy topic referral will inform the city’s 2026 State Legislative Agenda.
§ On October 6, 2025, staff presented information on proposed items to be included in the 2026 State and Federal Legislative agendas
