Action

Action:

A.                     Approve a unit price contract with Pro Lawn Group, LLC for the purchase of landscape power equipment and tool maintenance and repair for a term of three years, and

 

B.                     Authorize the City Manager to renew the contract for up to two, one-year terms with possible price adjustments and to amend the contract consistent with the purpose for which the contract was approved.

Explanation

§                     The Charlotte Fire Department requires the purchase of power equipment to maintain landscaping at fire stations and repair and maintenance of equipment such as chain saws for emergency response equipment.

§                     On July 18, 2024, the city issued an Invitation to Bid; one bid was received.

§                     Pro Lawn Group, LLC was selected as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

§                     The contract prices shall remain fixed for the initial three-year term. At renewal, price adjustments may be considered based on legitimate and justified increases in the cost of doing business. The ability to consider price adjustments also allows the city to accept decreases, if warranted.

§                     Annual expenditures are estimated to be $150,000.
