A.                     Authorize the City Manager to approve a contract with Transit Resource Center for Bus On-Site Inspection Services for a term of five years, and
 
B.                     Authorize the City Manager to amend the contract consistent with the purpose for which the contract was approved.

Explanation
§                     This services contract will ensure that each rolling stock being produced is manufactured in compliance with 49 CFR Part 663 (Pre-Award and Post-Delivery Audits of Rolling Stock Purchases) regulations and 49 CFR 661 (Buy America Requirements), as amended by the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act. 
§                     The inspections also ensure that the vehicles comply fully with the specifications of the order and ensure that each vehicle is free from defects.  
§                     On February 13, 2024, the city issued a Request for Proposals (RFP); one response was received.
§                     Transit Resource Center meets the city’s needs in terms of qualifications, experience, cost, and responsiveness to RFP requirements.
§                     Annual expenditures are estimated to be $267,500.
