Explanation
The Airport’s Baggage Handling System (BHS) requires a control room where daily operations can be monitored and system issues can be resolved in a timely manner.
The existing BHS control room no longer meets the needs of the Airport’s current and future operations.
This project will provide for the relocation of the BHS control room to a shell space constructed as part of the Terminal Lobby Expansion project.
Specific work includes the interior upfit of the approximately 2,000-square-foot space, including drywall, ceilings, flooring, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, cabling, and fire protection.
On August 4, 2026, the city issued an Invitation to Bid; four bids were received.
Edison Foard LLC was selected as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
The project is anticipated to be complete by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2027.
Reject Low-Bid Explanation
The low bid from H&C Contracting Inc. in the amount of $679,971 was found to be non-responsive due to failure to submit the non-discrimination certification.
