Explanation
* NC General Statute Section 160A-299 outlines the procedures for permanently closing streets and alleys.

Reason
Per the petition submitted by North Carolina Department of Transportation, the abandonment of the right-of-way will facilitate future development of the Charlotte Passenger Rail facility.
