Explanation

§                     The contracts will provide Allison transmission parts for the maintenance of the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) bus fleet.

§                     On June 11, 2024, the city issued an Invitation to Bid; four bids were received.

§                     Reliable Transmission Service, Rush Truck Center, and Transaxle LLC were selected as the lowest responsive, responsible bidders.

§                     At renewal, potential price adjustments may be considered based on legitimate and justified increases in the cost of doing business. The ability to consider price adjustments also allows the city to accept decreases, if warranted.

§                     Annual expenditures are estimated to be $294,000.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
