Explanation

§                     Duke Energy’s Income-Qualified High-Energy Use Pilot Program was developed to help address high electricity burden of low-income households that spend a greater portion of their income on electricity costs. The Committee will discuss a proposal to partner with Duke Energy to leverage the pilot program to assist local low-income households with energy efficiency retrofits to help lower their energy cost burden and support City Council’s Strategic Energy Action Plan goals to become a low carbon city.
