A. Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Municipal Agreement with the North Carolina Department of Transportation for reimbursement up to $220,000, and
B. Adopt a budget ordinance appropriating $220,000 from the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of West Boulevard and Wallace Neel Road.

Explanation
§ The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) and the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) conducted an evaluation of crashes at the intersection of West Boulevard and Wallace Neel Road in Council District 3.
§ Based on the evaluation, NCDOT has authorized the installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of West Boulevard and Wallace Neel Road.
§ The total estimated cost of the installation of the traffic signal is $328,240. Funding sources include:
- $108,240 in private developer funds, and
- $220,000 in NCDOT funds.
§ This Municipal Agreement authorizes the city to install a traffic signal at this location and is needed to ensure the city is reimbursed by NCDOT for the work performed.
§ This format is consistent with past Municipal Agreements between the city and NCDOT for traffic signal installations.
§ CDOT will operate this traffic signal as part of the existing signal systems in the area.
