Action:
A. Approve the purchase of facility technology integration and security system products and services from a cooperative contract,
B. Approve a unit price contract with Convergint Technologies, LLC for the purchase of various facility technology integration and security system products and services under OMNIA Contract #R220702, and
C. Authorize the City Manager to extend the contract for additional terms as long as the cooperative contract is in effect, at prices and terms that are the same or more favorable than those offered under the cooperative contract.

Explanation
* This contract provides support to the city's electronic security systems, access control, and life safety systems.
* The contract enables multiple city departments to access comprehensive, tailored solutions that meet the unique requirements of each department, enhancing compatibility and operational efficiency while optimizing budget utilization.
* OMNIA Contract #R220702 provides comprehensive service and support for citywide security technology systems, including but not limited to closed-circuit television cameras, access controls, panic and door alarms, wireless technology, and door and gate locks and hardware.
* NC General Statute Section 143-129(e)(3) allows local governments to purchase from formally organized cooperative purchasing contracts.
* A cooperative purchasing agreement results from the consolidation and competitive solicitation of multiple public agency requirements. By aggregating common needs all agencies are able to leverage economies of scale, such as volume discounts, improved terms and conditions, reduced administrative costs, and access to professional and technical expertise.
* Annual expenditures are estimated to be $250,000.
