A. Approve unit price contracts with the following companies for unspecified landscaping and tree planting services for an initial term of four years:
* Axtraction Tree & Stump Grinding Service, LLC,
* Carolina Outdoor Maintenance, Inc. (WBE, SBE),
* Champion Landscapes, Inc.,
* G.D. Garris Lawn Care, LLC.,
* Marula Tree Management Solutions, LLC.,
* New Beginning Landscape, LLC (MBE, SBE),
* Roundtree Companies, LLC. (MBE, SBE),
* Taylor's Landscaping Service, Inc. (SBE),
* Uncommon Grounds landscaping, LLC. (SBE), and

B. Authorize the City Manager to renew the contracts for up to one, one-year term with possible price adjustments and to amend the contracts consistent with the purpose for which the contracts were approved.

Explanation
* General Services Landscape Management Division is responsible for tree planting and landscape services in all geographical areas of the city.
* These contracts will include, but are not limited to, the installation of trees, shrubs, perennials, turf grass, mulch, and groundcover and stump grinding.
* Projects may include but are not limited to neighborhood tree planting and stump grinding in rights-of-way, landscape installations for the general Capital Investment Plan (stormwater and engineering), and landscape renovations in medians, green spaces, and city-owned facilities.
* On July 22, 2024, the city issued a Request for Proposals (RFP); nine bids were received.
* These firms were selected as best meeting the city's needs in terms of qualifications, experience, cost, and responsiveness to RFP requirements.
* Potential price adjustments may be considered based on legitimate and justified increases in the cost of doing business. The ability to consider price adjustments also allows the city to accept decreases, if warranted.
