Explanation
§ This project will rehabilitate 7,515 linear feet of 54-inch pipe by installing a liner within the existing McAlpine Creek Sewer Outfall beginning at Charlotte Country Day Middle School and running south along McAlpine Creek (adjacent to Council Districts 6 and 7).
§ The new pipe lining is a corrosion-resistant product that is expected to extend the life of the sanitary sewer line another 50 years.
§ On June 7, 2019, the city issued an Invitation to Bid; five bids were received.
§ Insituform Technologies, LLC was selected as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
§ The project is anticipated to be complete by the fourth quarter of 2020.
§ Phases II and III are planned for Fiscal Year 2021 and Fiscal Year 2022.
