Explanation
• Staff will review recommended updates to the CBI Policy in accordance with NC Session Law 2026-41 which removed race-conscious and gender-conscious requirements from State law, the City Charter, and the CBI Program. Locally imposed MBE and WBE participation requirement no longer apply. The City of Charlotte has authority to continue the SBE program under Charter Section 8.8. The SBE program is race-neutral and gender-neutral.
