Explanation
§ On July 30, 2026, the Mayor made a referral to the committee to discuss What key guiding principles - governing Council interaction with each other, staff, and the public while conducting the people’s business - could serve as a framework to strengthen decorum, efficiency and public trust.
§ Council discussed the potential value of developing and adopting rules of decorum during the March 2026 annual council strategy session.
§ Staff will provide an overview of feedback shared during the annual council strategy session and input shared by the ad hoc group on decorum which can be used for future discussions.
