On February 3, 2026, the Mayor asked the Committee to consider what enhancements are needed to
the Affordable Housing Funding Policy to better integrate affordable housing investments with the goals
of the Mobility Plan to mitigate displacement pressures. At the August 3 meeting, the Committee
discussed draft policy enhancement recommendations to modernize the policy, strengthen alignment
with broader City initiatives, respond to changing community and market conditions, and guide future
affordable housing investments. The Committee will provide guidance to staff regarding the Committee’s
final policy recommendations.
