Explanation
§ This contract will provide for the rehabilitation or replacement of critical components of the wastewater treatment process systems at the Mallard Creek Water Reclamation Facility (Council District 4) to ensure reliable discharge, permit compliance, and provide additional capacity for future growth.
§ On April 22, 2019, Council approved a guaranteed maximum price with Crowder Constructors Inc. dba Crowder Construction Company for the pre-purchase of major process equipment.
§ The project is expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2022.
Charlotte Business INClusion
The city has established a 9.00% MSBE project goal. Because this is a Construction Manager at Risk project, the Construction Manager has the opportunity to add on Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firms throughout the life of the project (Part G: Section 2.3 of the Charlotte Business INClusion Policy).
