Explanation
§ Private developer agreements and appropriations are needed when a developer is required through the city rezoning process to make road improvements.
§ The $439,500 in private developer funding is for road improvements to the Brown-Grier Road widening project located in Council District 3.
§ This road widening project is being completed by the city.
§ These developer contributions are based on cost estimates prepared by General Services and the Charlotte Department of Transportation.
§ North Carolina Department of Transportation will maintain these road improvements as part of the state-maintained street network.
§ Construction is anticipated to begin early 2021.
