Action
Action:
A. Approve a five-year contract with Bruker Daltonics, Inc. to provide and integrate a Specialized Laboratory System for the Analysis of Microbiological Organisms in Water,
B. Authorize the City Manager to approve price adjustments and amend the contract consistent with the purpose for which the contract was approved, and
C. Authorize the City Manager to purchase such additional software licenses, services, hardware, maintenance, and support as required to maintain the system for as long as the City uses the system.

Explanation
§ This specialized laboratory system analyzes for a wide array of biological contaminants in water to ensure that the public water supply remains safe.
§ On August 14, 2018, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP); three proposals were received.
§ Bruker Daltonics, Inc. best meets the City’s needs on the basis of demonstrated competence and qualification of professional services in response to the RFP requirements.
§ Expenditures for licensing and integrating the system are estimated to be $219,022.
§ Annual expenditures for maintenance and support are estimated to be $37,365.
