Action:
A. Approve a five year contract with Mobile Communications America for the Airport Control Room Communication System Maintenance,
B. Authorize the City Manager to approve price adjustments and amend the contract consistent with the purpose for which the contract was awarded,
C. Authorize the City Manager to purchase maintenance and support for as long as the City uses the system, and
D. Authorize the City Manager to purchase such additional software licenses, services, and hardware as needed from time to time to optimize the City’s use of the system.

Explanation
§ This system integrates and provides radio and telephone communications with City emergency agencies.
§ A waiver of a competitive solicitation process may be granted when deemed appropriate and in the City’s best interest. Such a finding has been made and a waiver granted for this procurement.
§ Annual expenditures for maintenance and support are estimated to be $85,000 per year.
§ This activity is occurring on airport property, Council District 3.
